The 16 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) who were invited to attend the seminar were Enge Wang, Ronggen Cai, Kai Chang, Xianhui Chen, Wenhui Duan, Zhong Fang, Xingao Gong, Jinfeng Jia, Shushen Li, Haiqing Lin, Yanming Ma, Yugang Ma, Yuqiang Ma, Tao Xiang, Xincheng Xie, and Dingyu Xing. They were offered insights and guidance on development of the discipline, talent training, education and teaching, and strategic goal setting for the School of Physics. The 16 CAS members were appointed as members of the Advisory Committee for which Academician Enge Wang serves as the Director. The seminar was hosted by Suhuai Wei, Dean of the School of Physics under the College of Science.

Shiyi Chen, Academician of the CAS and President of EIT, delivered a speech on the afternoon of November 16. He first warmly welcomed the participating CAS academicians and thanked them for their ongoing attention and support for the development of EIT School of Physics. He pointed out that as a small-yet-excellent and internationalized new type of research university that was off to an impressive start, EIT is committed to serving the mission of national development and promoting social progress as it strengthens its basic research focusing on frontier interdisciplinary studies and intersections and engineering technology. Chen urged the School of Physics to pay attention to maintaining good quality in terms of academic performance and the faculty overall, stressing the "time for space" school philosophy for strengthened partnerships with external organizations in the field of scientific research. Chen's hope was that all academicians would offer insightful suggestions to boost the long-term development of the School of Physics with their rich academic and experience on how to run the school and forward-thinking perspective.

Dongxiao Zhang, member of the United States National Academy of Engineering and Executive Vice President and Academic Dean of EIT, detailed EIT's system for running schools and progress covering discipline arrangement, talent training, faculty teams, and scientific research among other aspects. Vice President Yiwu He introduced the progress of the permanent campus construction. The inaugural and appointment ceremony of the School of Physics Development Advisory Committee was held later, where 16 academicians were appointed as advisory committee members, and Academician Enge Wang as the Director of the committee. Shiyi Chen presented the appointment letters one by one.

Suhuai Wei, Dean of the School of Physics, provided a brief on the development progress and scientific research platform establishment work of the school on the morning of November 17. Associate Professors Wu Li, Wenlong Gao, and Tong Zhou of the School of Physics provided reports on the latest scientific research results on behalf of young teachers.

The participating Academicians and Experts conducted in-depth discussions on the development priorities, talent introduction and training, interdisciplinary studies and innovation, and the characteristic discipline arrangement for the school. The experts highly affirmed the school's strategic planning in terms of physics disciplines and proposed forward-thinking and innovative suggestions. Their hope for the school was that it would seize strategic opportunities as physics disciplines thrive, focus on major national needs, sharpen the skills of their talent and academic teams, and continue to enhance the disciplines' core competitiveness and international presence.

Yusheng Zhao, Special Adviser to the President, and Chair Professor of the School of Physics, and Suhuai Wei, Dean of the School of Physics, delivered a summary of the conference. They once again expressed their gratitude for the valuable suggestions provided by the Academicians, mentioning that the seminar provided valuable intellectual support for the school's development and laid a solid foundation for its leapfrog and sustainable development in the future.

This seminar was hosted by EIT's College of Science and organized by the School of Physics. Zongwei Cai, Foreign Member of the Academia Europaea, Associate Vice President of EIT, and Director of the College of Science, attended the session.
