On October 2, Professor Chuanwu Xi, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs and Director of Global Engagement Office at EIT, visited Drexel University and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the institution. The two universities will engage in broader and deeper cooperation in the fields of academic exchange, joint research, and student training.
Rogelio Miñana, Vice Provost of Drexel University, warmly welcomed Professor Chuanwu Xi's visit and highlighted the development of EIT's College of Engineering as well as the achievements in its co-operative education program. He stated that the two universities have a solid foundation for cooperation and hopes that the signing of this memorandum will serve as an opportunity to enhance understanding, deepen friendship, and expand collaboration.
Professor Chuanwu Xi expressed his gratitude for the hospitality shown to Drexel University and focused on introducing the educational philosophy and development program of EIT. He mentioned that EIT has been committed to promoting international cooperation and exchange in recent years, boasting advanced experience in internationalization and the cultivation of international talents. He looks forward to deepening exchanges and broadening the scope of cooperation between the two universities in the future.
Both parties also discussed how to effectively leverage their respective strengths, especially in the fields of engineering and biomedicine, to conduct in-depth academic exchanges, joint research, and student training.
In recent years, EIT has actively pursued international exchanges and cooperation, engaging in talent development and academic exchange programs with renowned international universities to support our growth with a global perspective. The university has currently launched joint training programs with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Warwick and has established strategic cooperation with the University of Reading and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
