Chunmiao Zheng, Vice President of EIT, welcomed the delegation on behalf of EIT president Shiyi Chen, and outlined EIT's educational mechanisms and development progress, highlighting its academic structure, talent cultivation, and faculty teams. As a small yet outstanding and internationalized new type of research university with a significant foundation, EIT has been active in launching international exchanges and cooperation in recent years, engaging in talent development and academic exchange programs with renowned international universities to support EIT's growth and global vision. He mentioned that the Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University boasts advanced experience in global vision and youth leadership development, which is valuable for EIT to draw upon and learn from. He hopes that both parties would deepen their collaboration and jointly contribute to the cultivation of global young leaders.

Xiaojun Qian thanked Chunmiao Zheng for making such a warm reception. She pointed out that Schwarzman College attaches great importance to experience and practice in its teaching activities. As a compulsory course for students, Deep Dive allows students to gain a better understanding of the various regions throughout China and engage in in-depth research on topics related to economic, social, and political development over the course of a week. She expressed that this visit to EIT constituted a very fruitful lesson for the Deep Dive program faculty and students during their Ningbo trip. She also praised EIT's achievements in attracting talents and scientific research, and expressed expectations for the permanent campus which is taking shape, setting this visit as a precedent for the bilateral partnership: "I hope we can come again next year!"

During the meeting, the faculties and students from Schwarzman College actively asked questions about current international issues, the organizational model and innovation of new-type research universities, industry-academia-research cooperation models, and undergraduate curriculum practices. Xiaojun Qian and her delegation also inspected EIT's Experimental Plot B, and listened to presentations on the progress of EIT's scientific research platforms such as the All-Solid-State Key Laboratory, the Zhejiang Engineering Research Center for Organelle Precision Diagnosis and Treatment, and the Photoelectrocatalytic Organic Synthesis Laboratory, anticipating a bright future for the development of EIT.

The event was hosted by Chuanwu Xi, Deputy Academic Dean and Director of the Global Engagement Office. Relevant leaders from the United Front Work Department of Zhenhai District Committee, as well as heads of EIT's relevant departments and units such as the Graduate School, the Education Foundation, and the Hong Kong Office, attended the event.
