Domestic Partnership

EIT mobilizes domestic and foreign resources and accelerates international cooperation and exchanges.

It has signed strategic cooperation agreements in talent cultivation, resource sharing, research partnerships, and technology transfer with Ningbo University, Tianjin University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Yongjiang Laboratory, Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China, International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI), and WestLake University. These in-depth strategic partnerships are bound to complement each party with the specialized expertise and resources of the other.

Global Engagement

As a high-level internationalized university, EIT undertakes the mission of attracting top-tier global talent and enhancing the influence of national higher education. As China gradually takes a more prominent role on the world stage and actively participates in the establishment of a human community with a shared future, its goal is to portray the “Eastern narrative” of higher education reform within our nation. EIT proactively expands world-class collaborative relationships, forges diverse partnerships, and explores novel forms of cooperation with leading foreign universities, research institutions, international academic organizations, forward-thinking enterprises, multinational corporations, think tanks, international entities, foundations, governments, and media organizations. The forms of exchange and cooperation encompass joint degree programs, cross-border collaborative projects, as well as industrial internship initiatives, among others. These collaborative endeavors are strategically directed towards vital societal and national domains, comprehensive human development, and overarching scientific challenges.

Currently, EIT is actively engaged in dialogue with the University of Warwick concerning a potential collaborative project.

Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan

EIT has consistently maintained robust engagement with the authorities, education agencies, and various sectors of society in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. A comprehensive educational collaboration framework has been established, fostering the development of joint programs, on-the-job faculty training projects, education policy consultations, and educational research projects, among others.

In October 2022, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between EIT and the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI). Additionally, EIT has established a joint PhD program with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
