Bodong Shang is an Assistant Professor (Ph.D. Supervisor) at Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo, China. He was a postdoctoral research associate at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, USA, his M.S. degree in the School of Telecommunications Engineering at Xidian University, Xi’an, China, and his B.Eng. degree in the School of Information Science and Technology at Northwest University, Xi’an, China. He received the Chinese government award for outstanding self-financed students abroad. He held a summer research internship position at Nokia Bell Labs, USA. He has published more than 60 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. His current research areas are wireless communications and networking, including 5G/6G, non-terrestrial networks, internet of vehicles, integrated sensing and communications, edge computing, and Internet-of-Things.
