Yuanlong Huang

Assistant Professor

Background Information:

Yuanlong Huang is an assistant professor at the College of Engineering at the Eastern Institute for Advanced Study in Ningbo, China. He obtained his B.S. degree (2011) and M.S. degree (2014) from Fudan University, and Ph.D. degree from Caltech (2019, supervisor: John H. Seinfeld). After completing one year of postdoctoral training in the same research group, he carried out independent research as a Research Scientist since 2020. His research focuses on atmospheric aerosol chemistry, more specifically: the formation and transformation of atmospheric particulate matter pollution, improving the current aerosol engineering technology principles, promoting the understanding, and modeling of the evolution of secondary organic aerosols in the atmosphere, and expanding the theoretical research on the process of generation, measurement and simulation in atmospheric reactors. He has published a total of 28 papers, including 7 first-authored papers in the past five years.

Research Field:

Atmospheric aerosol physical and chemical processes

Gas-interface-condensed phase heterogeneous mass transfer and reaction
