  • Undergraduate Education

The undergraduate programs at the Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo (EIT) combine a strong general education with focused professional training, giving students both intellectual breadth and practical skills.

This combination encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and integrity, while preparing students to contribute responsibly in an increasingly interconnected world.

  • At EIT, learning extends beyond the classroom. Students are encouraged to connect theory with practice through a range of academic and experiential opportunities, including:
  • One
semester of international exchange, broadening global awareness and cross-cultural understanding
  • Three
summer innovation projects, linking creativity with real-world application
  • Four
years of research and innovation, developing independent thinking and teamwork
  • In August 2025, EIT welcomed its first undergraduate cohort of 74 students from Zhejiang Province. Their National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao) scores ranged from 691 (ranking 430th province-wide) to 656 (ranking 8,518th), reflecting the high academic caliber of EIT’s incoming students.

Undergraduate Programs

  • The curriculum is built around four guiding principles—Knowledge Transfer, Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship—and supported by three core systems: a Credit System that ensures academic flexibility, a Tutorial System that provides personalized support, and a Residential College System that fosters community and collaboration. This approach ensures a well-rounded educational experience, focusing on individualization, internationalization, and digitalization of talent cultivation.

Together, these frameworks create a well-rounded educational environment that helps students grow intellectually, professionally, and personally.
