Four months into their studies, the Zhenhai High School graduates' belief in their decision to choose the Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) has only been reinforced.
On December 25th, a distinctive meeting was held at EIT. Huyue Shen Executive Vice Principal of Zhenhai High School, visited the campus to meet with 16 of its graduates who are now founding undergraduate students at EIT.

"Now, let's welcome Mr. Guoping Wu, Principal of Zhenhai High School to the stage! This year, Zhenhai High School has sent an exceptional cohort of 16 students to EIT. Let's welcome!"
On August 30th, EIT held its 2025 New Student Convocation. The university welcomed 74 founding undergraduate students, 16 of whom were outstanding graduates from Zhenhai High School alone.
Both Zhenhai High School and EIT are located in Zhenhai District, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, approximately 7 kilometers apart. Founded in 1911, Zhenhai High School, as one of Zhejiang's first provincial key high schools and a model school for distinctive education, has carved out a unique path in education over its century-long history, cultivating tens of thousands of exceptional individuals.
At the convocation, the 16 students shook hands with Professor Shiyi Chen, President of EIT; Mr. Renrong Yu, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Mr. Guoping Wu, Principal of Zhenhai High School, drawing thunderous applause. Their excited and expectant faces were etched into that fervent summer night.

"This is your campus to shape, so please, speak your minds," said Professor Zhongchao Tan, Vice Provost and Director for Academic Affairs of EIT, as he welcomed Mr. Huyue Shen. He encouraged the students to share their honest feedback on their academic and campus experience. "Everything we do is about serving you and building the best possible environment for your success."

"Zhenhai High School was your home for three years; EIT is your home from now on," Mr. Huyue Shen remarked, noting the rapid development of EIT from a carefully drawn blueprint to a rising campus. He encouraged the students to cherish the fortune and privilege of being founding undergraduates, to unleash their limitless potential, and to enjoy their campus life at this high-caliber foundation, compact yet distinguished, research oriented, and globally engaged research university.
The partnership is a practical response to the national drive for closer high school-university integration. Through this collaboration, both institutions leverage their complementary resources and educational expertise to nurture exceptional, innovative talent—equipping students with a solid knowledge base, creative problem-solving skills, a sense of national responsibility, and global perspective.
