    Access E-books from Wenquan Academy Knowledge Base

     

    We are pleased to announce the opening of access to e-books from the Wenquan Academy Knowledge Base. We welcome faculty and students to use this resource and share your valuable feedback with us. This e-book collection is for Chinese language readers only.

    Database Introduction:

    'Knowledge Base of Higher Education Discipline Construction – Wenquan Academy' is a comprehensive e-book resource that has been developed by Tsinghua University Press in partnership with 28 university publishers over the past 10 years. It contains multimedia resources and featured course content, as well as instructor service. Tailored specifically for university faculty and students, this professional knowledge resource aids in the development of first-class disciplines and specialized programs, facilitating quick and precise access to knowledge for efficient reading and learning.

     

    The knowledge base comprises over 60,000 e-book resources, more than 200,000 multimedia resources and course content, and 50 professional online courses. The university has acquired permanent access to the 2023 and previous e-books in the fields of Computer and Electronic Information, Engineering, and Science. Access to other disciplines is available on a trial basis until December 31, 2025.

     

    Access Instructions:

    1. On-campus access: connect to EIAS or EIAS-EDU. Off-campus access: Use the University VPN to log in. Registering and logging into a personal account allows real-time synchronization of personal reading and learning data.
    2. Users can access and read all digital resources online without having to download any software.
    3. There is no concurrent user limit for academic literature and popular reading resources, while e-textbooks are limited to 5 concurrent users.
    4. Instructor Services: After authenticating as a faculty member, users can download extensive instructor teaching materials. Each instructor can request up to 2 free sample textbooks per semester, with support for multiple mailing addresses. This is limited to textbooks published by Tsinghua University Press.
    5. Online customer service is available 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist with any user inquiries.

    1. I. Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery

    Service Content
    The library, in collaboration with Zhejiang University Library, provides document retrieval, consultation, photocopying, mailing, scanning, uploading, and email delivery services for on-campus research and teaching staff.

    1. 1. Provide citation indexing and impact factor certification for SCI, SSCI, EI, ISTP, etc.
    2. 2. Offer scientific novelty verification services for project evaluation, award applications, and project approval.
    3. 3. Provide tailored services, including the latest research progress updates and analysis, both domestically and internationally, based on demand.
    4. 4. Deliver patent information services, including patent retrieval and novelty search, patent analysis and early warning, and patent consultation.
    5. 5. Conduct specialized lectures and training sessions to meet the needs of research, teaching, and knowledge transformation.

     

    III. Service Request Process

    1. 1. The library has established a dedicated application process on the DingTalk, with a designated person responsible for approval.
    2. 2. Users submit requests through this process, including document needs, novelty searches, and citation indexing, etc.
    3. 3. The designated library staff forwards the requests to Zhejiang University Library.
    4. 4. Documents held by Zhejiang University Library will generally be sent within 2 working days. For hard-to-obtain or special collections, the process may take an additional 3-5 working days. For documents not held by Zhejiang University Library, the processing time depends on the third-party provider.
    5. 5. Once the library receives the completed request results from Zhejiang University Library, they will be promptly forwarded to the requester.

    External institution’s actual fee + 5 RMB/article (service fee)

    Note: The above prices are based on the official rates published by Zhejiang University Library.

     

    1. V. Payment Method

    Fees incurred from related services will be borne and paid by the user’s research team. The library will compile a monthly summary of expenses, which will be confirmed and signed by the respective research group leaders. The finance department will then complete the monthly settlement.
