From July 27 to August 1, a delegation from the Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo (EIT), conducted a high-level visit to Australia, engaging with scholars and senior leadership from six renowned universities. The delegation visited Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), University of Queensland (UQ), University of Newcastle (UoN), and University of Technology Sydney (UTS), while also holding constructive discussions with the University of Melbourne and the University of New South Wales (UNSW). This visit aimed to strengthen EIT's international educational and research partnerships, expand its high-quality global networks, and enhance global reputation.

The delegation was led by Prof. Chuanwu Xi, Vice Provost for Global Engagement and Dean of the School of Environmental and Sustainable Engineering, and Prof. Ping Wang, Associate Dean of the Graduate School. Prof. Dayong Jin, Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering and Chair Professor in EIT's College of Engineering, provided key coordination support throughout the visit.

During the meetings, delegation members discussed key areas of collaboration, including joint doctoral programs, integrated bachelor's-master's degree programs, curriculum co-development, collaborative research platforms, and faculty exchanges. Constructive dialogues led to substantial progress on several initiatives, such as short-term undergraduate exchanges and structured joint-degree programs ('3+1,' '3+1+1,' and doctoral programs).

Throughout the visit, EIT delegates—leveraging their established international research portfolios across environmental and health sciences, advanced materials, biophotonics, and biochemical engineering—engaged in deep academic dialogues and strategic consultations.
